Over the next seven days we were constantly on the move, staying no longer than a night in each location. The itinerary saw us search high and low for idyllic scenes and remote locations using the sun’s arch in the sky to dictate when and where we needed to be. As we roamed the island, we explored crystal blue waters, sailed up the coast on chartered yachts, scored a secret surf session, windsurfed far out to sea and ventured deep into the heart of forgotten canyons and caves. It was undoubtedly the stuff paddlers dream about, and when I look back with rose tinted glasses, it all sounds pretty magical. It arguably was one of the most incredible photoshoots I’ve had the pleasure of attending, but also one of the most physically and mentally exhausting as well. Don’t get me wrong, there are far, far worse places to be and far worse things to be doing but to get the perfect shot takes time, energy and a whole lot of patience.
