We explored a lot more beautiful beaches all around the island and swam through underwater caves with columns of roots carved by limestone. Driving with Ingrid we got to know the nicest places, finally arriving in Luengöni Beach; in our opinion, one of the most beautiful places on the planet (even though we say this a few times in this article!) With turquoise waters, white sand, palm trees, grass right down to the beach and most impressively mushroom like coral formations popping out of the clear water, we paddled around just for the pleasure of floating, surrounded by this pristine nature.
Every night, we came home with our ‘family’. We had dinner together and spoke about life and about our different cultures, habits, food…They were happy to see us try their typical meals and local products like taro or papaya with coconut, which we were just as happy to eat. One night, we cooked them some Spanish Tortilla de Patatas and Turkish Kefta, and we can say they loved it too. The experience of living with them and sharing all we did, was probably one of the most special experiences we have had in our lives.
