A day in Imsouane
When the bay at Imsouane is flat, small, or simply not working, the brothers typically head to the town’s other break: La Cathedrale, a point break wrapping into a beach that offers a steeper, faster wave for more shortboard-style riding.
The day almost always starts the night before – most nights, the brothers are sat down at their favourite restaurant, Chez Aziz. They’ve known owner Aziz for nearly a decade, and rarely stray far from his kitchen. Mathieu will drop in mid-afternoon to order their dinner for the evening – usually a traditional Moroccan tajine, sometimes a fish’n’chips, and always, always, couscous on Fridays. At dinner there’s one topic that’s always discussed – the swell, and the plans for next day’s surf.
