Here however, the new prototype delivered so much more performance than the previous year’s board, as it generates more speed on the wave and has more grip and drive in the bottom turns allowing for more projection in the top turns. The new shorter outline makes it possible to ride a smaller, more reactive board and the thinner rails give more grip and response making is easy to generate more speed. In a few days I tested the new Pro boards in a variety of conditions – from perfect overhead
Uluwatu to messy waist high Canggu beach breaks – and had tons of fun in every situation. The new channeled tail is clearly a bit of a development, together with the refined outline, giving so much more bite and drive out of the turns.
I dreamt about a board like this for a while, and suddenly to be able to test it and ride it in a place like this, with such fun waves, it was a dream come true.
