Glyn Ovens and his partner, Holly Bassett and myself synchronized our watches and set off to the Galle region of Sri Lanka, to stay near the “The Rock”, officially known as Kabalana Beach, Ahangama .
It’s a 10hr 30min flight to get to Colombo and the any anxieties at check-in were alleviated when Sri Lanka Airways accepted all of our boards within the 32 kg for free. Praise be! We boarded together so we could get a combined weight for all of our bags, but watch out for the new laser measurements in oversized baggage – if your boards are oversize they won’t go through!
