Recently, we took our boards and visited Shoshone Falls, in Twin Falls Idaho, a.k.a the Niagara Falls of the West. Fun fact for you though, it’s actually taller than Niagara Falls by over 35 feet! I think we need to start calling it Niagara the Shoshone Falls of the East.!
Now, you might be thinking: “Shoshone Falls? Sure, I’ve seen Shoshone Falls like all the other spectators from 1,000 yards away, on a nicely paved path to the observation deck, where I took a quick selfie.” No! I’m talking about standing at the feet of the giant! Close enough to reach mother nature herself. Many locals don’t even know that you can venture up the Snake River with a paddle board and make your way to the base of these breathtaking falls.
