Whisky Point
After a week of waves that never falls below three feet, a slightly more serious swell is announced. We are really lucky and we decided to start exploring Whisky point. This spot is supposed to give us a nice right that starts between two rocks and a tubular left (very rare in the region) that ends in beach break. Good karma, the waves are up and the excitement that the team is at its peak in the tuk-tuk which plays loud music as we bounce down the track. Olivia, always horny as a chimp made the first launch. She blew up in the shore break and fought for a good half hour before discovering that just down the beach is a channel to reach the peak in 10 seconds with dry hair. I arrived at the peak at the same time but I had time to eat breakfast! Too much energy kills the energy! I exploded with laughter to see exhausted and swimsuit full of sand but she takes it well.
After a few hours, I decided to shift to a hundred meters left to enjoy a tubular cascade and found that our new boards are really strong! The place is ‘lost’ and we are surprised to find a great chill-out hut on the beach that serves as restaurant and is a great place to relax after the session over tea. A mega event is organized here every Friday night, away from everything and we begin
to understand why the spot was called “Whisky Point”!
