On the days there were no waves there was so much to do. We drove the island and explored; it’s a cliché because it’s true, Fuerteventura really is a land of contrasts. I got to climb volcanos and gaze out over amazing views of the rugged terrain. We went deep into ancient caves, milked goats, ate cactus fruits, saw beautiful sunsets sat under old windmills. Learning to windsurf was a challenge but we had a lot of laughs and I was humbled at how hard it was! So much equipment to handle, haha. The food was awesome. So much amazing seafood! I couldn’t get enough.
I was given the royal tour of Fuerteventura by Canary Island royalty. It’s an amazing place and I can’t wait to go back. SUP
