Waveforms?
Photo JOHN CARTER
Bur of course, as long as there is sunlight there will be waves on the way (something about Hadley Cells). There are also the wavelengths in this photo, tiny fast ones beaming in at 1500 nanometres. If you wanted to go for a sundowner beer on Maui, you could get started at around half six. You could also get started a half six in Cornwall, but you’d need to pace yourself till about half eight before the sun dips below the western horizon. But did you know that it would have already gone? Thanks to refraction, we see a phantom of the sun at sunset.
