The regular surf centres of Taghazoute, Safi and Moulay have drawn surfers since the days of the single fin and whilst they still serve up the same world class conditions, if you want to surf relatively unknown waves, you may be wondering what Morocco has left to offer you. However if you head south from Agadir airport instead of north, you’ll find the paradoxically named town of Mirleft and a selection of under-subscribed orthodox grinders. Cornishman Nick Healey has been tapping up Mirleft for many years now and with his local Moroccan connections, has been running camps for sup surfers who want to immerse themselves in a cycle of surfing, learning, eating well and living simply. This winter Nick teamed up with top lens Greg Dennis to show a crew of UK riders around and capture some of their best moments.
