HB was the beach set for the 4th of 5 stops on the SUWT (Standup World Tour) with the best athletes coming together from all around the world to thrash it out. Arriving in LAX airport – with its incredfamously inviting immigration officials – this time around was a little more familiar being as it was my second visit to LA. I was met at the airport by some past snow connections from Australia – Gaz and Dani – whereupon I was taken to their swish home on the beach to settle in for the first few days. It’s always great to grounded with people you know in a foreign place. My new board for the event was waiting for me. Fanatic never cease to arise the froth in me with their incredibly innovative shaper Sebastian Wenzel sending me yet another state of the art piece of equipment with which I fell into a heavy lust as soon as it was under foot.
