Actually I’m not selling time-shares, but I should be! Located in the northern part of the country, Lake Garda is Italy’s largest lake. During the summer the thermal winds blow like clockwork each day. In the morning the cool wind from the Alps blows down the long corridor of mountains where it is
funneled into the lake from the north, so you need to get an early start and take advantage of the strong winds to launch the first leg of your downwinder. Lake Garda is about 25 miles from north to south and a solid 10 mile downwinder in the morning would be a good warm up for your return trip home when the winds switch.
