The commander, was a warm, pleasant mannered man, Diony gave the needed procedures for the clearance of the event. Diony took notes and realized it was a bigger responsibility than he realized.
But with a huge gathering of the community waiting for his command, he took control of the situation and started executing his plan.
The first day of competition, it was off to Fisherman’s Island at a place called, The Point. There was a head high wave peeling from the point all through the inner bay and a brisk side shore breeze.
Diony motivated the whole village to follow him to a small out post, with a single shack facing the point break. It took us about an hour journey to get near the “The Point”. It was a sight to be seen, the children, youngsters, coast guards, paramedics marching to the Point with boards, coolers, chairs and so on under their arms.
