We had been planning this trip for almost nine months, we had so many places we wanted to visit and only twelve days to do it. To get an approximate idea of the space you’ll be sharing, Iceland is about half the size of the UK but guess what, with only 300,000 inhabitants, it has 180th of the people. We didn’t want to miss a thing so we thought that the best way run was renting a motorhome and going on a road trip. We loved the motorhome experience, it’s so easy to travel with your paddleboarding gear. If you go to Iceland I recommend booking everything in advance; don’t expect to just get there and rent a car or a motorhome. The locals told us that it gets pretty busy in summer and finding a hotel room becomes a mission sometimes. We rented ours at McRent, easiest thing ever; they pick you up at the airport and drop you off at the end. Top service!
