At Lisbon airport I’m melting in my winter jacket and my shoulders hurt from the heavy backpack. It’s November and a t-shirt would have been plenty. Four hours ago I was stalking through the icy streets of Hamburg, now I am almost surprised by the lukewarm Portuguese evening. Dan approaches me with a backpack and a boardbag in his hand. He found Valentin. Vale drags his triple boardbag and a lot of luggage in our direction. I am also with sup boards, I can hardly wait… A young man approaches and unfolds his drug collection right in front of us, even though only 50 meters away armed policemen are on duty; it doesn‘t seem to bother him. However, we still have the inevitable, bigger problem to solve before we begin the drive to Peniche: how do we get all the gear into the tiny rental car? We roll our overflowing luggage carts to the car. The game begins; now we have to rely on our Tetris skills. Four SUP boards, two surfboards, two iSUPs, three travel bags and three huge backpacks. Any ideas?
