Atlantic Vibrations
Anyone else notice North Atlantic swell periods seem to be getting bigger? It could be that the forecasting models have changed the way they present data, or maybe even sea-floor spreading giving us a wider ocean (lol), or maybe storms are getting deeper and lasting longer? I remember once pulling up to an empty spot in Ireland when a local chap suggested I give it 30 minutes before driving away. As we looked at it, it was flat. 15 minutes later, a succession of 6 foot a-frame peaks wobbled in. We jumped in and surfed alone for three hours, other cars were pulling up, seeing the flatness between sets and driving away. A case of if you don’t know and you don’t go, you won’t know.
