with some thruster setups for more performance. Mom gravitates towards it because it’s stable, but still lightweight, and paddles with a delightful amount of “glide”. The thing just moves through flat-water in a very ergonomic way, due to its length, gentle rocker, and thickness in the stance area. I guess you could sort of think of it as a city bike. I ride a lot for fitness, but I don’t think I’ll ever stretch to buy a full-on, racing, road bike! Just the same, the Nalu represents an awesome fitness tool for my Mom, without spending race board money. Finally, I enjoy it as a utility tool. I’ll throw on some diving equipment, a waterproof speaker, or a date… and just enjoy a mellow day on the water! This is the board that ties a lot of elements in my lifestyle, together. I don’t often leave home without it, because it’s my own personal craft, my gateway to the ocean. I have amassed quite the eclectic little collection of purpose-specific boards, but the Nalu is a board that transcends all that. This board allows me to go have a fun surf with Dad, or a relaxing paddle with Mom; I can always seek out adventure, there really are no limitations!
