Annie Reicker on the women’s all-rounder
One of my favorite boards is the Alana GTW. It’s an incredibly versatile board and is a great choice for both novice and experienced paddlers. First, it is a beautiful board. The design and colors make it the most eye catching in the lineup, it truly looks like a piece of art.
The Alana handles both small and medium sized surf gracefully. It’s my go-to board for knee to waist high waves and makes surf that size so much fun! It handles like a long board in that it is really stable under my feet but it turns easily and makes carving big bottom turns a real treat. You can even work on cross stepping out to the nose on it. It allows for really graceful surfing! When paddling out and going over waves it is extremely stable and it feels like it glides through bumps effortlessly. It’s also an amazing board for flat water cruising. A board that feels solid under your feet and lets you enjoy your surroundings, rather than focusing on just trying to keep your balance.
