A photographer’s note
“I remember the night we got back to Kathmandu after the earthquake: it was for sure not the same city we left four days ago. The day after I woke up early to have a closer look around the city; what I have seen has been really shocking. Most of the times I held off on photography and tried to talk to people to see if there was anything I could have done to help them out. Fortunately rescue teams and international aid was starting to make an impact on the ground. My role most of the time has been just that of giving attention to these people, hearing their stories and sharing a few moments of compassion together”. – Franz Orsi .
