Just before landing I see the peaks of the Himalaya mountain range in the distance, the majestic snow white summits of the highest mountains on Earth. I have always been intrigued by those impervious terrains; as a little boy by reading the stories of Tin-Tin, and later in the many books I read of climbers and expeditions. Curiously enough, when we planned the world trip, Nepal wasn’t originally on the itinerary, but because of some problems we had getting visas for India in time, we decided to go to Nepal instead.
As soon as we arrive we are catapulted into a buzzing world of honking cars and motorbikes chaotically driving through the dusty and dirty streets of Kathmandu. What a contrast to Micronesia, the slow pace there made for a very different scene.
