Ethiopia is building one of the largest dams in the world, the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), on the River Nile near the Sudan border. Charlie Head and a like-minded band of brothers are on a mission to showcase river environments under threat and to tell their last story; they paddled 900 km over 45 days on the Blue Nile to document ‘the last descent’.
