The planning and setting of the route has never been as difficult as it was with this project. Usually, the itinerary is automatically calculated by Google Maps, but not this time. In Finland there are just too many destinations and routes which are worthwile to discover. Eventually we decided to focus on two national parks in the southeast of the country. Our plan: over two weeks we would explore the Linnansaari and Kolovesi National Parks. A straightforward plan you might think, but in reality it was far from it. Traveling the landscape of this region is so bewildering and two weeks were simply not enough to experience and absorb all the beauties this country has to offer. The untouched nature, the warmth and hospitality of the Finns was overwhelming; both poignant and breathtaking at the same time.
