At 12:05 I was finally stood up on my board and immediately felt relieved. That was it, nothing now could stop this, I was going to achieve my dream. The wind was easterly like the flux
current so I had to paddle almost the whole way on the same side, but after a few minutes a bunch of dolphins came alongside. Black and white, they were like baby killer whales and their playfulness made the crossing so much more enjoyable. They swam next to me all the way to the shores of Tierra del Fuego, playing so close to the board that at one point I thought I was
going to hit them with my paddle.
