The athletes had come here between their usual calender of commitments. They saw this trip as an opportunity to train, some saw it as an escape from the intensity. Each competitor would discover in Barbados, so far from home, a relatability to their own homes. Culture rests at the root of this tour, not just in the experience of the journey, but the return home as well. Brian hopes that when he invites his athletes that they will not only discover something about themselves but they will take what they learn back to their home beach to kickstart a natural growth of love, passion and appreciation for the ocean.
