Beach Culture is more than display of athleticism, it focuses on the broad scope of what it means to be a waterman – both in and out of the water. Airton’s challengers are a diverse group of individuals, each equipped with his own dominant skill and hopes of taking home the Beach Culture World Championship. They are: Kevin Pritchard, wind surfing world champ from Maui. Pritchard, a former Beach Culture World Tour Champion, would be bringing his incredible wind surf acumen alongside a heightened talent behind the lens to capture the event. Another Hawaiian local, Bernd Roediger, formidable across the spectrum of stand up surfer and all around wind and waterman. In between sessions foiling his windsurfer through the waves, Bernd would offer enlightened poetry, melodic guitar rifts and an all-round stoke for the ocean environment. Gollito, proudly hailing from Venezuela brought a full range of skills and a keen knowledge of kite and sail alike. Lastly, and far from least, BCWT perpetual competitor, Brian Talma. With the stage set, these five competitors would compete on and off the water to demonstrate and take part in the local culture of Barbados.
