BRAČ ISLAND, CROATIA

Sometimes, you plan your trips. You read up on the place and compile information about where you’re going, what you can expect to see, how to understand what you see… I guess this is the “right” way, and how most of us do it.
Other times, you end up going somewhere you hadn’t planned to go, you just find yourself there. Then you realize that it is the place itself that writes the story for you, without expectations, information or any other prejudices other than what you absorb through your pores and senses. The story of the place starts to take form and the memories are defined by moments and sensations, by your own own experience. This is the way I discovered Croatia. My mind was a blank slate that I was going to fill with a completely pure source of information.
