How To Run A Training Camp?
I was super exited to meet the camp participants and to start and see how they liked it. I was very nervous. I didn’t know their skills or form, so I was not sure if they would be able to follow all the exercises.
I planned to start with a mediation session, not to get relaxed, but to get the energy from the ocean. To consider where we were; lying on a board, floating in the sea, a liquid that moves and connects everywhere around the planet, floating in the cosmos… you know what I mean. Well, I wasn’t sure if they were going to like it, and I never guided a meditation before. Would they be politely waiting for me to finish my crazy story or would they actually enjoy it and feel the energy to start the training?
After a sleepless night, I met the group and gave a wiki explanation about sup and how to paddle. It looked like everyone was mega fit and already very familiar with sup. So we just jumped in the boards and started paddling. Omg, what was I going to teach them now!?
