SUNDAY 12th APRIL, Totnes to Dartmouth
With little over three weeks to go until the UK’s first major Stand Up Paddle event of the season, paddlers all over the country have been clocking in the miles in preparation for this fantastic challenge from Totnes to Dartmouth. The rapid growth of participation in the sport means that for the first time the SUP event is held on a separate day to the rowing: Sunday 12th April.
Some of the country’s leading racers will be gunning for the podium and aiming to cover the eight mile course in record time (just over an hour and a quarter) but many more will be cruising in the “leisure” class, where completing the course and taking in the spectacular views are the primary focus.
The event organisers have secured the services of Julia Louise Photography www.julialouisephotography.com to ensure good coverage of the spectacle of 100s of stand up paddlers cruising along the scenic Dart valley.
There are still places available in this year’s event for both racers and cruisers.
No entries will be accepted on the day: the clock is ticking down and entries close on Wednesday 8th April.
