Here we go again!! Following the World Record breaking success of last years SUP Armada event tickets are now available for this years unique event to be held in the grounds of the stunning lake at Bewl Water on the 23rd July.
The event will once again bring together hundreds of SUP boarders, their families and friends for a huge day of SUP activities, including an attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for ‘The Largest Parade of Paddle Boarders’. It’s going to be bigger and better than ever, check out all the info below and we hope to see you there!
This year the event aims to be a SUP extravaganza, with organisers working closely with industry partners to ensure there are opportunities to try every SUP experience going – from Team Races and SUP Yoga to Intermediate Clinics and Taster Sessions for absolute beginners. The goal is to ensure it’s a great experience for all involved – fancy dress is positively encouraged!
Organisers are also delighted to see competitive SUP racing featuring at the event for the first time, with the UK SUP National Series Races and the Red Paddle National Junior Championships taking place as part of the day. So if you have considered getting involved in the racing side of SUP boarding, the SUP Armada is the time to give it a go!

Dan Charlish, Director of Armada Events said, ‘The focus of the Neilson SUP Armada is to break a SUP World Record, raise funds for charity and get as many people having fun on the water as possible – paddling 1 mile for the World Record attempt and also trying as many other SUP activities as they can fit into the day! Even if you have never been on a SUP board before, you can come down to the event, join a taster session in the morning and potentially leave a World Record holder at the end of the day!’
A ‘SUP Village’ of industry partners exhibiting all the latest gear and equipment will be set up on site, with many of the big names in the SUP World exhibiting the latest gear and giving expert advice.
The event will feature cafés, bars and an after party enabling everyone to hopefully celebrate the new World Record late into the night! You can also camp or stay on site on both the Friday and Saturday night, and make a weekend of it!
SUP boarders at the event will be raising money for the Armada Trust, which donates all funds raised through Armada events to a range of fantastic youth and rescue charities – to date raising over £160,000. The event also aims to invest funds in a number of grassroots SUP projects, helping the sport reach young people who would otherwise never have the opportunity to get involved.
