STARBOARD POCKET TOURING

INTRODUCTION:
Starboards 10’6 x 29.5″ & 9’6″ x 29.5″ Pocket Touring breaks barriers and provides SPEED and STABILITY in a short length board. As Touring boards, they are designed to be fast, incredibly stable and have great tracking. The shorter board length makes them easy to carry in and out of the water, simple to transport and saves space when storing.

KEY FEATURES OF THE POCKET TOURING:
There are 3 key design features of the Starboard Pocket Touring: to maintain the SPEED and glide that traditionally comes from a longer narrower board in a shorter STABLE and more manageable length, while ensuring excellent TRACKING.

We achieved this by having a balance between a slender foiled nose inspired from the Sprint, which pierces effortlessly through chop, while adding plenty of volume right in front of the standing area. This allows the board to maximize glide at a super stable feel.

The single concave wide tail provides incredible stability and increases speed through the channel as it directs the flow of the water for a controlled and clean release.

The unique oversized Director Fin and Fin Box are fitted close to the edge of the tail, providing exceptional tracking from a board of its size. Due to the shorter length, the board turns on a dime when stepping the foot back, yet keeps great directional stability while paddling.

The board accelerates well with its low weight and has an agile feel that keeps a good ground speed. We have found that the 9’6” Pocket Touring that is over two feet shorter is actually faster than the 12’0″ all-round design.

The Pocket Touring is a SHORT, easy to STORE board that is really big on PERFORMANCE.

TARGET RIDERS:
For a growing number of people, SUP isn’t about surfing or racing, instead there is a huge demand for flat water cruising and exploring. The Pocket Touring fits in the range as it appeals to those that don’t want a big board but still want to go fast and feel stable. The shorter length is so easy to control, as the rider has the ability to turn and maneuver the board in narrower and smaller waterways compared to a larger board.

It is a very attractive shape for smaller riders and particular women who find it easy to carry and transport around, while it holds a forgiving 227L in the 10”6 and 203L in the 9’6” for heavier riders.
