Verdict:
The Wave SUPs Pro is a rough-water inflatable built for adventure. The Wave SUPS military grade ply construction and five grab handles make it ideal for beach starts, rescues, self-recovery, towing and portage. The nose profile suits punching into wind and chop on rivers, lakes and coastal runs.
The board package is loaded with goodies – carbon paddle, dual-action pump, waterproof backpack, at one of the most keen price points we’ve seen yet.
Overview:
Wave SUP have a clean, contemporary image that starts with the waterproof backpack. It’s packed with: 3-piece carbon paddle with tough nylon blade, pump, decent coil leash, kayak seat, repair kit, quick release fin and a Pro 11’0 board.
The Pro has what many would call a classic touring outline: swept in nose, parallel rails and squared-off tail. Generous nose entry makes way to a flat waterline right through to the tail. Construction is double-layered PVC, this board feels very substantial.
This bright board is loaded with features. The EVA deck pad has a substantial tail kick. Five padded carry handles cover all portage and towing requirements. A forward cargo bungee and GoPro mount live up front. Kayak-seat (and fitting D-rings) and leash point complete the deck features.
Underneath, the centre fin has a neat slot in system that secures with an integral clip. No bits to lose or forget.

Performance:
The 11’0 Pro is a tough board with a broad spectrum of applications. Wildlife watchers and anglers will appreciate the various handles, rings and kayak seat. The resilient nylon paddle blade and double-walled construction will withstand pushing up into remote shingly coves or hauling up and down harbour steps.
You’ll need some previous experience to get the most out of this board. The narrower nose is a better fit in choppy water but don’t expect zombie-like stability compared with a regular all-rounder. At 33” wide and 130kg max. weight it is obviously stable but a couple of flat water sessions first and you’ll be into it.
We really like the rugged build across the board and components. It’s nice to see an emphasis on function rather than cheaper components that look flashy but break too easily. If you’re keen for year-round all-weather paddling in different environments we can recommend this board. You’ll also have change for a full tank of diesel for your next Highland adventure…
